Final Report

The Commission’s inquiry into government procurement was divided into two stages. The Stage 1 report dealt with goods and services procurement as defined in the State Procurement Act 2004 and the State Procurement Regulations 2005.

The Stage 2 report examined construction procurement and all procurement by prescribed public authorities.  It also considered the broader system governance issues as these issues required a whole of system review.

Each stage of the inquiry was governed by essentially the same terms of reference; the only difference being a larger scope of activities. The terms of reference with the expanded scope is available here.

Timeline

The Stage 2 final report was delivered to the Premier on 8 November 2019 and published on the SAPC website on 6 February 2020.
