Report Consultation
Following the release of the Health and Medical Research in South Australia draft report in September 2020, the Commission further engaged with stakeholders and interested parties on its analyses, conclusions, information requests and some draft recommendations. It also requested formal submissions on the draft report.
The Commission thanks the many contributions from stakeholders including SA Health, universities, research institutions, businesses and individuals.
Consistent with consultation process, the Commission will publish every submission it receives on its website unless it is determined by the Commission as being confidential, offensive, potentially defamatory, beyond the scope of the inquiry’s terms of reference, or an abuse of process.
This approach supports the Commission’s commitment to transparency, and enables other parties interested in the inquiry to consider contributors’ views unless there is a valid reason why those views should not be shared beyond the Commission.
Next steps
The Commission is now preparing the final report to be presented to the Government of South Australia on 13 November 2020.
