SAPC’s Development Referrals Review Final Report was published on the SAPC website on 10 January 2022.

The Commission was tasked to evaluate the regulation and practice of select state agencies responsible for referrals in the areas of environmental significance, native vegetation and transport routes and corridors. The Commission also looked into the effect of referral bodies’ input on major project assessment processes and how this can be enhanced in the new planning system.

The Commission thanks the referral bodies and other stakeholders for supporting the Commission’s work through their timely sharing of important information and data, and candid interactions during the review process.
