Newly appointed OSAPC Chief Executive commenced on 22 November 2021.

The SA Government has appointed Mr Steve Whetton, former Deputy Director of the SA Centre for Economic Studies at the University of Adelaide, as the Chief Executive of the Office of the South Australian Productivity Commission (OSAPC).

Steve has an extensive track record in delivering economic analysis and strategic policy advice at the University of Adelaide and for the UK Government.

“I’m excited by the challenge of building on the great work done to date at the Commission and cementing its role as a reliable source of independent evidence-based advice on how to keep improving the State’s economic growth and competitiveness.”

Steve replaces Christine Bierbaum, who has been acting Chief Executive of the OSAPC since July 2021.
