The Commission is conducting a review into regulation and practice governing referrals processes that form an integral part of the state’s development approval system.

The Commission has released a draft report that sets out the Commission’s understanding of the issues affecting the regulatory practice and performance of three of the state’s referral bodies: Environment Protection Authority South Australia, Native Vegetation Council/Department for Environment and Water, and Commissioner of Highways.

Interested parties are encouraged to make a submission here.

Following further consultation, the final report will be provided to the Premier on 9 September 2021.
